Parks and Recreation

From Summer Day Camp for kids to recreational facilities for seniors, there are plenty of community activities for everyone in Holmdel. Spend a day at Historic Longstreet Farm located in Holmdel Park. learning about the town’s history while taking in seasonal and cultural activities. Be sure to take the kids and experience the petting zoo. Holmdel Park hosts a variety of seasonal activities with picnic areas and a sledding hill and ice rink. Take in a concert under the stars at the top ranked PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel’s Telegraph Hill Park which hosts seasonal concerts and events in its 10,500 seat amphitheater. Holmdel is best known for its connections to Bell Labs which developed the first transistor, radio astronomy and the laser. Holmdel’s location along the Garden State Parkway gives residents quick access to well-paying jobs and a short commute into New York City. Many of Holmdel’s residents commute by car to work along Route 24 to the west and Route 35 to the north. The Garden State Parkway passes through the area and exits near the PNC Bank Arts Center. Mass transit including buses and trains in nearby cities are available for commuters to take into New York City. For national and international flights, Holmdel enjoys easy access to four international airports including John F Kennedy International Airport, La Guardia, Newark International and Philadelphia International Airport.
